Happy Thanksgiving: Thank God for Life

In my life I have many things to be thankful for. To list them all may be the most difficult thing I could ever attempt.

Beyond the mere physical possessions that have accumulated over a lifespan of nearly 60 years. I have family, friends, peace of mind, and life. A life guaranteed after our existence here on this Earth. A life I am most thankful I am able to share with you.

May your day be blessed.
May your life find peace.
May we never forget the true meaning of being thankful.
I am thankful, we are able to come to our Lord in prayer.

Happy Thanksgiving

My God is Alive: Then & Now

I recently was horrified by some social media posts that proclaimed Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ child of God, was "a fraud."

This not only angers me, it breaks my heart as well.

The proof of course is there were witnesses numbering in the tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands. Witnesses that could confirm the miracles, and the good works of Jesus.

From John Chapter 21 Verse 25

"And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen."

There are many historical figures that wrote about this man Jesus of Nazareth, that provide proof that the man existed. My favorite is Joseph ben Matthias, also known as Flavius Josephus. So named by the Romans who imprisoned him, and then made him an interpreter.

My source for this information comes from Mark Eastman's book
 Historical Evidence for Jesus of Nazareth.

"Now, there was about this time, Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works-a teacher of such men as received the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews and many of the gentiles. He was [the] Christ; and when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him, for he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him; and the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day."[2]

There are of course many more non-Christian authors that prove the existence of our Christ, yet many still say his followers are being duped, and that his ministry is based in lies.

When they say "Jesus is a fraud" just know this:

The day shall come, when they see their thoughts, beliefs, and false teachings are completely, utterly wrong.

I pray it will not be too late for them to beg forgiveness.

Trump's Budget Letter to Congress

Below is a copy of the opening letter from President Trump to Congress included in the Budget Proposal for Fiscal Year 2018. This is President Trumps first Budget Proposal to Congress.

AMERICA FIRST
 Beginning a New Chapter of American Greatness

A MESSAGE TO THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES:

 The American people elected me to fight for their priorities in Washington, D.C. and deliver on my promise to protect our Nation. I fully intend to keep that promise.

 One of the most important ways the Federal Government sets priorities is through the Budget of the United States.

 Accordingly, I submit to the Congress this Budget Blueprint to reprioritize Federal spending so that it advances the safety and security of the American people.

Our aim is to meet the simple, but crucial demand of our citizens—a Government that puts the needs of its own people first. When we do that, we will set free the dreams of every American, and we will begin a new chapter of American greatness.

A budget that puts America first must make the safety of our people its number one priority— because without safety, there can be no prosperity.

That is why I have instructed my Budget Director, Mick Mulvaney, to craft a budget that emphasizes national security and public safety. That work is reflected in this Budget Blueprint. To keep Americans safe, we have made tough choices that have been put off for too long. But we have also made necessary investments that are long overdue.

 My Budget Blueprint for 2018:
  • provides for one of the largest increases in defense spending without increasing the debt;
  • significantly increases the budget for immigration enforcement at the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security;
  • includes additional resources for a wall on the southern border with Mexico, immigration judges, expanded detention capacity, U.S. Attorneys, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Border Patrol;
  • increases funding to address violent crime and reduces opioid abuse; and
  • puts America first by keeping more of America’s hard-earned tax dollars here at home.

 The core of my first Budget Blueprint is the rebuilding of our Nation’s military without adding to our Federal deficit. There is a $54 billion increase in defense spending in 2018 that is offset by targeted reductions elsewhere. This defense funding is vital to rebuilding and preparing our Armed Forces for the future.

We must ensure that our courageous servicemen and women have the tools they need to deter war, and when called upon to fight, do only one thing: Win.

In these dangerous times, this public safety and national security Budget Blueprint is a message to the world—a message of American strength, security, and resolve.

This Budget Blueprint follows through on my promise to focus on keeping Americans safe, keeping terrorists out of our country, and putting violent offenders behind bars.

2 The defense and public safety spending increases in this Budget Blueprint are offset and paid for by finding greater savings and efficiencies across the Federal Government. Our Budget Blueprint insists on $54 billion in reductions to non-Defense programs. We are going to do more with less, and make the Government lean and accountable to the people.

This includes deep cuts to foreign aid. It is time to prioritize the security and well-being of Americans, and to ask the rest of the world to step up and pay its fair share.

Many other Government agencies and departments will also experience cuts. These cuts are sensible and rational. Every agency and department will be driven to achieve greater efficiency and to eliminate wasteful spending in carrying out their honorable service to the American people.

I look forward to engaging the Congress and enacting this America First Budget.

Do Not Be Tempted

I am worried about the coming days. Not just our country, but the very world we live in. I see our future running headlong into the forecasts that are described in the book of Revelations.

Knowing full well that I do not want to be found fighting against God, I can not help but see one of the world's largest "religions" as one of the dragons mentioned in the book of Revelations Chapter 13.

"
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his hornsten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healedand all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, sayingWho is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to

I pray that none of you fall into the temptations of believing that there is not a Christ, the Holy Son of God. This religion believes that Jesus lived, but was no more than a prophet.

May God have mercy on my soul if I am wrong.
