Hark The Herald Angels Sing

The following passages are from St Luke Chapter 2...

8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

15And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

17And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

The Long Journey

St. Matthew Chapter 2

1. Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

2. Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

3. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

4. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

5. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

6. And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

7. Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

8. And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

Three wise men, or three Kings traveled a long distance together to visit the chosen one of GOD, and to celebrate his birth. The star shown the way from a distance, and led these wise men to Mary, Joseph, and GOD's son Jesus. Whose name was given to Mary during the visitation of an Holy Angel.
These are the reasons for many a tradition in the Christian celebration of the birth of Christ.
May GOD bless you and your loved ones during this wonderful time of the year.

Harvest and the Hunt

Hello once again everyone. I trust you are doing fine today. It's well into the harvest season now, farmers are gathering the last of the peanuts, and cotton is ready to pick. It's also hunting season here in Alabama. Regardless of the quarry you seek, whether it be a darting Dove, or the quick Rabbit, or the elusive Whitetail Deer please try your best to practice safety rules. We don't want anyone getting hurt.
For those of you who don't hunt, please understand that most people hunt as a another form of bonding with the creator. Usually family is involved in the event. Dads use the time afield to build stronger relationships with their offspring. Old friends get reacquainted, and new bonds are formed each season.
There are those among us who try to discourage hunting, and believe that it's akin to animal cruelty. Well that's simply not true. There are many verses in the Bible that give each of us the right to hunt, and in fact God uses hunting as an example to teach us how to get closer to him."Arise Peter, slay and eat".
My favorite hunting verse in the bible is found in Proverbs Chapter 12 verse 27-The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting:but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
The people I hunt with treat the animal with respect, and thank God for each animal harvested.
Until next time, God Bless you and yours.

What does this mean to you?

Better is a handful and quietness, than two handfuls and travail, and vexation of spirit.

Be satisfied with what you have?
Do not envy what your neighbor has?
Don't look upon the well to do with an evil heart?
search long and hard for the answer to this, because GOD intends this message for all who seek his company.

EIGHT AINT ENOUGH!

It will only take you 8 minutes to watch this video, and enjoy the music that's on it. But it won't be enough time for you to get over the sites, the anger, the hurt, and the amazement of the true love of GOD.
"For he so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son" never meant more than it will after watching this video.

GOD bless all of you.

A Fitting Tribute, A Fitting Reminder

http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=KTb6qdPu8JE

That's the link.
That's where I get my message from today. Please tell your kid's about Pearl Harbour, about how tens of thousands of soldiers were misplaced in Vietnam, about September 11th, 2001.
This is the greatest country on earth, because of the men and women in uniform, and because of people who dedicate themselves to our freedom.
Not because of our government, not because of our politicians, because of people like you, and me.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Newsboys - Born again Lyrics

And the hits just keep on coming!

What is GOD's word?

There is a story in the New Testament that is told by Jesus himself. He starts the the story of a man who had a vineyard, and a certain fig tree that he never received any fruit from it. Now this man loved figs, so he wanted his gardener to destroy the tree that gave no fruit, and place another in it's place.
The gardener though loved that tree. he asked his master if he could spend some time with the tree, dig about it and dung it, which is fertilizer, and then see if any good came of the tree.
If after that, the man who owned the tree found no good in it, then he could destroy the tree by fire.

Now, we know that Jesus spoke many times in parables, for he said so. this story is a parable. As simple as it seems, this story holds a deep message of God's love for us, and the love of Jesus the Christ. To clear this matter up, when I say Jesus the Christ, I am talking of his time he spent as a physical man on earth.

On to the meaning of the parable:
The man who owns the vineyard is GOD. For GOD owns everything. We are only here for a short period of time, GOD is forever, so anything we have came from GOD, belongs to GOD, and will be his when we are gone.
We are the tree in the story. Every single one of us is a fig tree. When properly taken care of we can produce "fruit" or show the world GOD's love for all mankind.
Jesus himself is the gardener, he personally stepped in, or intervened on our behalf, to keep GOD from destroying us until he could come into our lives and fertilize the word within us.
The story is told to let us know that we have the love of GOD, because the man who owns the tree, is GOD,and that GOD loves figs, which symbolize the fruits of our labor.
It also shows how Jesus the Christ gave each of us a second chance. Not only to show GOD's love to the world, but to build our relationship through the personal efforts of Jesus, who died on the cross for us all.

I hope this message finds each of you doing well. We will never ask you for money, nor will we ask you to give us your personal information. I would however plead with you to join our little group and tell your friends about what we have here. Please leave us comments whether good or bad. tell us things you would like to see, or things you would like explained. Our only hope is reach out, and ask nothing in return.

GOD Bless each of you.

Thief - Third Day

Imagine you are hanging on a cross...
The one who had been your friend,
The one whom you had been "hanging around" with is on the other cross..
The very same friend that said "hey, we could break into this house and get lots of money"
You are hanging on a cross for your transgressions
But between you and your so called friend is another
Someone who is falsely accused, blameless, who has been mistreated much worse than you
your friend on the third cross is cussing, telling the innocent one to quit talking
The innocent one is asking GOD why has thou forsaken me?
You summon the courage to tell your friend to leave him alone, he is the innocent one
That we deserve our fate, but he did no wrong
The innocent one turns to look at you
you ask him to forgive you, and you look on him with true compassion in your heart
And the real friend in your life hanging on the cross with you says
"today you shall be with me in paradise"

It's never too late. It's never too soon. You can only keep asking GOD to forgive you, and even at death's door, you can be forgiven.
GOD Bless each of you.

Call My Name- Third Day

It's been so long since
You felt like you were loved
So what went wrong
But do you know
There's a place where you belong
Here in My Arms

Chorus:
When you feel like you're alone in your sadness
It seems like no one else in this whole world cares
And you want to get away from the madness
You just call My name and I'll be there
You just call My name and I'll be there

The pain inside
Has erased your hope for love
Soon you will find
That I'll give you all
That your heart could ever want
And so much more

Chorus:
When you feel like you're alone in your sadness
It seems like no one else in this whole world cares
And you want to get away from the madness
You just call My name and I'll be there
You just call My name and I'll be there

Oh,You just call My name
You just call My name

Call My name say it now
I want you to never doubt
The love I have for you is so alive
Call My name say it now
I want you to never doubt
The love I have for you is so alive
You just call My name
You just call My name
You just call My name now
The love I have for you is so alive
The love I have for you is so alive
You just call My name
You just call My name
You just call My name

Born Again - Third Day

Today I found myself,
After searching all these years,
And the man that I saw,
He wasn't at all who I'd thought He'd be,

I was lost when You found me here,
And I was broken beyond repair,
Then You came along and sang Your song over me

It feels like I'm born again
It feels like I'm living
For the very first time
For the very first time,
In my life

Make a promise to me now,
Reassure my heart somehow,
That the love that I feel,
is so much more real than anything
I've a feeling in my soul,
And I pray that I'm not wrong,
That the life I have now,
It is only the beginning

It feels like I'm born again
It feels like I'm living
For the very first time
For the very first time

It feels like I'm breathing
It feels like I'm moving
For the very first time
For the very first time

I wasn't looking for something that was more,
Than what I had yesterday,
Then You came to me,
Then You gave to me,
Life and a love that I've never known,
That I've never felt before

It feels like I'm born again
It feels like I'm living
For the very first time
I'm living for the first time

It feels like I'm breathing
It feels like I'm moving
For the very first time
I'm living for the first time,
In my life

"His tears they run with blood, a splitting brow forced by the thorns, his face is writhing with the pain, yet it's comforting to me"

from: the album SEA of FACES by Kutless the song is Passion

There is so much we can derive from this little phrase. I say little, when used in this context it takes on an enormous meaning. The actuality is that it is the single most important act of love, of kindness, and of compassion this author can think of.
Am I a witness that this actually happened? Yes, and no. In the person, as a flesh and bones seen with my own two eyes, no. I will not tell that lie. No matter how old some of you think I am, I am not 2000 years old.

But am I a witness spiritually? You bet I am. I know without a doubt that the events portrayed in our bible have actually happened.
You see, it not that hard to believe if you think about it. The TRUTH is not a friend with exaggeration, tales of fancy, nor is it a friend with flirting of the facts. It is simply the TRUTH.

God has shown time and time again that he has no gray area, whether it’s dealing with truth, or obeying any of his commandments. Just on that simple fact, I know without a doubt that Jesus of Nazareth was the Christ, and he shed his blood for each of us.

Next time we will talk a little about fishing.

GOD Bless each of you.

Friday Ramblings

Yesterday we learned that Selena Dodd has been fitted for a wheel chair, and her physical therapy is coming along well. Miss Dodd has been through an awful lot lately, so let's keep her and her family in our prayers.
****
Many people take the things in life for granted, and I am no exception to the rule. Fully realizing that nothing I have is mine, and nothing that has been given to me I got on my own. I still end up saying "I" worked for it, or I earned it, or even I made that.
Let's all try to keep in mind that if God had not intended to allow us these gifts, we would never see them as ours.
God is responsible for allowing me to be healthy enough to work, intelligent enough to make my own decisions, and has given me my blessings in life.
****
I was blessed with a wonderfully large family. My Dad has two sisters that are still living, and one that has passed. My Mom has five sisters that are still alive, and two that have passed. Spending most of youth going to family gatherings on my Mom's side I was truly blessed in having many cousins. Now when we all get together it is no problem for there to be 50 of us. That is truly a blessing.
****
I'm sure you are tired of my ramblings on, so I will leave you with this...

Happy July 4th

It's Sunday morning July 4th as I write this.
Our country is at a treacherous crossroads as this  Independence Day is here. Together as Christians we need to have continual prayer for the leaders of our country and of the world. Politics aside we are facing an unparalleled assault on our environment, and our resources.
The only way any of this gets resolved is with GOD's full participation in our lives. We have to be willing to let him in, and he will lovingly give us the answers to our prayers.
So on this our country's Independence Day, let's not forget our Troops that are in harm's way, those that have made sacrifices for our freedoms, and pray that going forward our country can once again be the shining light to the world.

GOD Bless.

Tuesday's Thoughts

GOD blesses each of us in many ways. Having recently retired I have found time to renew old family ties. The kind that you have fond memories of from your youth, but seem to lose as you grow older.
Making things very special in my life is the fact that my wife and I are relatively healthy.
Continue to give praise to the Father, and if you feel like sharing with us, tell us how GOD has blessed you in your walk. You don't have to be specific, just announce his blessings on you and give him all the praise.

Friday Musings

Hello everybody,
Let's do a little catching up, ok?
First thank all of you for your prayers for Selina. Unfortunately we found out she has a severed spinal chord and will probably never walk again, without divine intervention. The good news is she should recover otherwise.

I was listening to a CD the other day and the words of the song were moving. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Prayer Works...Just In(sic)

Thanks to all of you who have been praying for Selina Dodd. Late last night we received word that Selena was moving her toes on her own. I know that sometimes this happens with accident victims that incur severe spinal trauma. Still, your prayers are reaching GOD's ears, so please keep them coming.

GOD bless.

More Prayers Needed

A friend of one our editors little sister was thrown from a vehicle she traveling in during a wreck this week.
She has multiple spinal injuries and the doctors don't know yet if she will be able to walk again.
We will try and get a name posted soon.
GOD bless each of you.

We now have a name for you. Her name is Selena Dodd. The doctors were going to try surgery today and couldn't because of the young ladies blood pressure not being where the doctors wanted it. They will try again next week.
This family really needs your prayers.
GOD bless!

Prayers are needed...

This is going to be a very selfish request.
I have a friend that is going through the walk of fire on this earth. Many of you know what I mean, although I'll describe the situation.
This lady, of whom I am not sure is fully secure with her relationship with GOD, has been dealing with the loss of her mother last week,  and her son having multiple seizures and having to be put in the hospital.
Please pray with me that this nice lady, first develops a strong bond with our Father, and second, that her family heals and begins a sincere relationship with Jesus.

GOD Bless

We Are at War With Evil!

Soon after the events of September 11th, 2001, President George Bush had to make some tough decisions. we as a country had to find who was responsible for this tragedy. Determine if there was some form of justice that we could invoke, to prevent this from happening again.

It wasn't long that our President had to defend his actions as a
War On Terrorism" and not a war against a religion. President Bush stated "We are not at war with the nation of Islam, we are at war with all terrorist who would aid, plan and organize terrorists plots around the world. Many nations would join us in this fight.

History shows The United States of America were one of the last nations in order, to become victims of such barbaric behavior. We certainly were not the victims of the last act of terrorism around the world.

Piecing together the evidence, the world found an organization well known for terrorism was behind many of the worlds horrific acts of violence. Al Queda as we were told was the enemy that must be dismantled and destroyed.

Made up of Islamic extremest, this group would declare Jihad on ALL infidels and non-believers. Now, Jihad is believed to be an HOLY WAR in which these people are exempt from God's laws, and commandments.

NO RELIGION OF LOVE OR PEACE CAN JUSTIFY A DECLARATION OF JIHAD AGAINST OTHER NATIONS!

I'll be the first to admit my limited knowledge of the religion named Islam. I can not give you any proof that the entire "Nation of Islam" has declared this Jihad against us, or if it is just a certain "denomination".
I use the word denomination because we can understand better our language of different sects of religion. I would doubt that if the Baptists were to declare a Holy war against Uganda, for example, that the Protestants would follow along blindly. So it is with Islam. If the Sunni's want to declare war against the United States, for example, would the the Shiites follow blindly? In a word NO!

Please do not read anything into my examples, they are just that, examples, not declarations of any type.

Jesus told of the times when others would seek his disciples out to kill them and think they are doing God's work. St. John 16 verse 2 says: they shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think they doeth God's service.3. And these things they will do unto you, because they have not known the Father nor me.

Jesus is much older than the proclaimed profit of Mohamed, that Islam teaches. For when Jesus testified to his disciples that at the beginning was, I am. That I and my Father are one. From the beginning it was so.

Ancient writings of the Old Testament speak clearly of Jesus. Many of the writings of the disciples testify to these writings. "They shall see him coming on a colt where never a man had sat". He shall be called a Nazarene". "I will call my son up out of Egypt". 'Out of the city of David". There are more, although I am sure you get the point.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light. The only way to the Father is through him! So, remember when you have the talks with your loved ones, and these questions arise. Tell them that our lot is to pray for our enemy. Pray that they will find God through Jesus the Christ.

Never, and I mean NEVER, let anyone take this away from you. We as Christians are at war with evil. Those who hide in a religion, and make war, are just instruments of evil. Those who defend their loved ones in the name of Jesus shall be free, and inherit the heavens. There is no greater sacrifice than to give one's life for a friend.

Helping Others

Are we too caught up in everyday lives that we don’t stop to help those in need. Too busy with friends, family, jobs and life.

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 1 John 3:17

How can someone who has the means to help people, show the love of God but be caught up in their own worldly desires such as money, cars, house and fortune. The answer is, they can’t. People lose track of what’s important by thinking I want, rather than do I need.

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:16.

We should share everything we are given with God’s children, because if it were not for him, we would not have the blessings to share.

For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me. Then these righteous ones will reply, Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you? And the King will say, I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me! Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.

Then they will reply, Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you? And he answers, I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me. And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life. Matthew 25:35- 46.

There are several people out in this world, that will just take advantage of anyone and everyone who is willing to help them. That doesn’t mean not to help them though. We don’t know everyone’s battle or what they may be going through. If they need help or are asking, then its God’s Will for us to help them. Who are we to say no. When we do not know ourselves what is down their path much less what is down our own. And if they are taking advantage of what is being given to them, that’s between them and God. If we help others, that shows them the light through all we do. What we do reflects back to God. So who knows, helping others could lead them to Jesus.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. You are the light of the world. A City set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven.” Ephesians 4:28.

Money and the worldly desires are the roots of evil. “For the love of money is a root of all kinds or evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:10. But if we share all that we have and help others, then we shall prosper. And then the greatest reward is yet to come.

I need to fill my file

This was sent to me as an email...

...read below.
Heaven as written by a 17 Year Old Boy

This is excellent and really gets you thinking about what will happen in Heaven.

17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. "I wowed 'em," he later told his father, Bruce. It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote." It also was the last.

Brian's parents had forgotten about the essay when a cousin found it while cleaning out the teenager's locker at Teays Valley High School in Pickaway County

Brian had been dead only hours, but his parents desperately wanted every piece of his life near them, notes from classmates and teachers, and his homework. Only two months before, he had handwritten the essay about encountering Jesus in a file room full of cards detailing every moment of the teen's life. But it was only after Brian's death that Beth and Bruce Moore realized that their son had described his view of heaven.

It makes such an impact that people want to share it. "You feel like you are there," Mr. Moore said. Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.

The Moore 's framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. "I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it," Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. "I'm happy for Brian.. I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him.

Here is Brian's essay entitled

"The Room."

Page 1

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings.

As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read "Girls I have liked." I opened it and began flipping through the cards.. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was. This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named "Friends" was next to one marked "Friends I have betrayed." The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird. "Books I Have Read," "Lies I Have Told," "Comfort I have Given," "Jokes I Have Laughed at."

Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: "Things I've yelled at my brothers." Others I couldn't laugh at: "Things I Have Done in My Anger", "Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents." I never ceased to be surprised by the contents Often there were many more cards than expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived...

Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting.. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked "TV Shows I have watched," I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked "Lustful Thoughts," I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size, and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content. I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me.

One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!" In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards.

But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it. Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it. The title bore "People I Have Shared the Gospel With." The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused.. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand..

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him..

No, please not Him... Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response.. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own. He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes.

Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.

Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. "No!" I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was "No, no," as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, and so alive.

The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side. He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished."

I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

If you feel the same way forward it to as many people as you can so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also. My "People I shared the gospel with" file just got bigger, how about yours?

IF THERE IS ONE EMAIL THAT I HAVE READ THAT NEEDS TO GO AROUND THE WORLD, IT IS THIS ONE, PLEASE PASS THIS TO EVERY ONE YOU KNOW, CHRISTIAN OR NOT! "LET'S FILL OUR OWN FILE CARD" AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

You don't have to share this with anybody, no one will know whether you did or not, but you will know and so will He.

Truth vs. Myth

Is this true, "God IS Too Strict" ?
No, he is not too strict he is a forgiving God.
Jesus shed his blood for our sins by dying on the cross.
Many people believe this myth, that God is too strict just like many people believe the myth, "Step on a crack, break your mom's back".
Don't believe everything you hear, believe only the word of God.

God bless,

In case you did not figure this out, I am a Toby Mac fan. I really like the message in his music for the younger generation.
This song..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFL2NDxF-CA
has something for each of us regardless of age.
Enjoy, and may God bless each of you.

Miracles Happen

I really like this song for many reasons. First it's a powerful message, with an awsome music mix behind it.
Second it relates to any part of a persons life. At my age (51) this kind of message can hammer home the forgiveness of God's love.
In present day, we can see God's love perform miracles daily. Remember the request for Shon Coleman and his family from an earlier post?
Yesterday we recieved word that Shon's bone marrow cancer count was "Zero".
I know what you are thinking, it was misdiagnosed earlier. While I'll admit that is a possibility, the tumor removed from his head was not a diagnosis, it was a sign for many to see God's love manifest itself in our lives.
To not believe in miracles and say you believe in God is a lie. For God can and does perform miracles everyday. we may not see them, but you can bet someone does.
My hope and prayer is that God continues to bless each of you.
Enjoy the song, I sure do.

Angels among Us.

I believe I have met a few angels over my few years, that I believe were put in my path to teach me a lesson. The lesson is whether your the stranger or it's someone else that is a stranger to you, always go out of your way to help others. And your reward is much greater than any of us here on earth could imagine. It may be as simple as a hot meal and a warm blanket, or as complex as helping a new found friend to clean out a loved one's house that needed it.

Matthew 25:35-46 says-
For I was hungry and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.
Then the righteous ones will reply, "Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?
I tell you the truth, says the King, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!"
The King will turn to those on the Left and say, Away with you , you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry, and you didn't feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn't give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn't invite me in you home. I was naked and you didn't give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn't visit me. Then they will reply, "Lord when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty, or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?" And he answers, I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me." And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life."

Hebrews 13:2 says,- Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some have done this have entertained angels without realizing it.

I believe there are angels out there, whether it be the person needing a hot meal being a homeless person or an angel that could vanish. But I believe there are also special people who I call angels that just come and Knock on the door to help, when there is no reward here. But then I realized how great there reward is that is waiting.

A little over two months has passed since my uncle passed away. And while we were cleaning out his house, there was a knock on the door. My aunt had been hoping to sell the house. The man at the door was looking to buy, and she asked him. Are you the answer to my prayers? Then another man walking up, Said he may not be but I am! That was Mr. Rutland. He buys and sells antiques, and our house was full of them, among other things. Well after the Antiques were gone, and most of the family too, he was there. Day in and Day out he and his wife were there helping without asking for anything in return. I thank God there are people out in the world like that. Angels that have special callings, and when they make it to heaven one day, the treasure they find will be far greater than anyone could ever imagine. I believe that God put the Rutlands in my path to teach me a lesson. I have learned no matter the person that needs help, you should help them. Because it may not be an ordinary person. And if the situation doesn't look promising still help, because whatever the other person is struggling with is between them and their walk with God. Besides, helping someone else may show them the light in Christianity, and it may be the beginning of their walk with the Lord. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Rutland. You have touched my heart.

I guess the question is, Have we entertained angels or been entertained by angels? Have we crossed the path of someone we could have helped in any small way that could lead them to Jesus?

I hope that everyone takes every opportunity to help in the small ways when they can't in the big ways. Because everything we can do big or small can show someone the love of Jesus. I hope everyone has a blessed day!!

Happy Easter!

This morning the church Easter Egg hunt reminded me of truly the greatest gift of all. As all the children were hunting their plastic eggs, and getting the goodies that were inside, I couldn't help but see the empty eggs that fallen from easter baskets and were just passed over. I picked up one of those plastic eggs and thought this is truly the greatest gift. IT WAS EMPTY!! Just like the tomb! Praise God, he has risen!! Like empty plastic egg, the tomb was empty this day, over two thousand years ago! Thank you GOD for giving your one and only son, for our sins because for this day we are truly saved!!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.

Happy Easter and May God Bless everyone !!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS. DAVIS

April Fool's day is so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOD bless each of you.

Have you Seen him?

The Easter Story.
When Jesus was crucified, Christ's body was placed in a tomb. The entrance was shielded by a huge stone, and soldiers guarded the entrance.

On Sunday, the third day, Mary Magdalene and Mary the Mother of James went to look at the tomb. Matthew 28:1.

A Violent Earthquake occurred, and an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and went to the tomb, broke the seal and rolled away the stone, and then sat upon it. His appearence was like lightning and he was dressed in clothes as bright and white as snow. The Guards were so afraid of the angel, they shook and passed out like dead men.

The angel spoke to the women and said, " Do not be afraid, for I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come in and see where he lay. Then go and tell his disciples he has risen, and is going ahead of you to Galilee. There you will see him. Matthew 28: 5-10.

The women hurried away from the tomb, afraid but yet joyous, and ran to tell his disciples. Then Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They clasped his feet and worshiped him. Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, there they will see me."

After Jesus had risen and appeared to Mary Magdalene, she went and told those who had been with him and who had been mourning. She said I have just seen him, and they didn't believe her. Afterwards Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country. The returned and told the rest, but they didn't believe them either. Later Jesus appeared to the eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him. He told everyone to go into the world and Preach the good news of all Creation. Mark 16: 12-15.

The Question is, Has he appeared to you and you didn't believe it was him or even you didn't recognize him? He visited the twelve in different forms, and they did not know he was in their very presence. Are we doing all we can to tell the world about Jesus, so that they can recognize him in their presence? I pray that we are because there is always another life that needs saving. Because he has risen, we all have forgiveness of our sins. I hope you have a blessed and Happy Easter.

An Important Message

We here at CTC (Carrying The Cross) realize that not everybody can agree on every aspect of the word of GOD. As astonishing as that is to say, we are after all far from perfect and born in sin. It's no wonder that we can't agree on everything. The Devil is working hard to disrupt and destroy our lives.
What we can agree to though is certain principles. Marriage, Jesus Christ truly was walking this earth, and is still alive today. Basic Christian principles are what we need to hold onto to be able to better prepare ourselves for the onslaught that is coming from the adversary.
As the song we sang in Church last night goes, Though I stand in the valley of decision and the adversary says just give in... just HOLD on, My LORD will show up and take me through that fire again.

I would like to pass along this letter from the Manhattan Declaration. Please read and do as your Saviour moves to do.

GOD bless each of you.

A Letter to Signers of the Manhattan Declaration
Thank you for your continuing support of the Manhattan Declaration.
The timing of our movement is providential. We couldn't have realized when we released the Manhattan Declaration what threats to life and liberty we would soon be facing with the passage of the healthcare bill. At this critical moment for our nation, we give thanks to God that nearly half a million Christians have pledged to stand strong in defense of the most fundamental moral principles of a just and good society. God bless you for making this commitment.
We are reminded by this legislation that we must redouble our efforts. We must equip ourselves to defend winsomely the truth in the public square. The timing of the upgrading of our website is providential as well. We originally released the Manhattan Declaration last fall with a website literally assembled overnight. We realized a couple of months ago that we needed a better facility that could provide more resources to help people to better connect as this movement grows and develops. On the new website you'll find a wealth of resources that will help you to fight this battle. Please visit http://www.manhattandeclaration.org/.
You'll find news of the work going on at the grassroots level. For example, a few weeks ago we addressed by phone a group of pastors and lay leaders in Frankfort, Kentucky, who were preparing to present the Manhattan Declaration to their legislature. They did so, and the result was a resolution passed by the Kentucky House endorsing and urging support for the Manhattan Declaration. It was sponsored by 45 members and adopted by voice vote. (www.manhattandeclaration.org/pdfs/KY-bill.pdf)
Just imagine what might happen to our politics and culture if state legislatures across the country were to copy what Kentucky has done. Can you urge your legislators to do so?
With the battles going on in Washington, we must intensify our efforts. The three of us want to do exactly what our supporters in Kentucky did, but at the federal level. When we have one million signatures, we will ask for a meeting with the President. Any document this strong, pledging not to compromise our faith, signed by a million people coming from the three great historic traditions of the Christian faith, will make a huge impact. Please help us accomplish this: Here are some things you can do:
Circulate the declaration through your church. One church in eastern Washington did this and got all 470 members to sign on. That made local press. www.manhattandeclaration.org/, www.manhattandeclaration.org/sign.aspx
If you haven't already done so, ask your pastor to refer to the Manhattan Declaration from the pulpit. Remember, too, there's a great Bible study that goes with it which you can download free from our website. Here are some resources your pastor may find helpful:
PowerPoint
Church Bulletin Article
Start a Bible study in your home.
Speak in any public forum where you have the opportunity. We are doing this and getting a great reaction. I (Chuck Colson) have asked people to raise their hands if they've not heard of the document. Astonishingly, half the people do. Once I explain it, they give it thunderous applause. Despite all the press and internet exposure, many people are still unaware of the Manhattan Declaration. That's why all of us have to work to spread this message. www.manhattandeclaration.org/pdfs/ManhattanDeclarationStudyGuide.pdf
Don't forget letters to the editor of your local newspaper.
There are 80,000 of you who have put this on Facebook. Let's do more. Movements today advance by social networking. http://www.facebook.com/ManhattanDeclaration
Finally, forward this to your friends and ask them to sign on. If each of us gets just one friend to sign, we'll have nearly one million signatures.
Many of you have written asking what you can personally do. The answer first, is to pray. Second, you can help us with the costs of maintaining the website. To make the significant upgrades, two of our member organizations put up the initial funds. We are not in the fundraising business, but we would welcome support, because we will have continuing costs of maintaining the website and providing resources to fuel this movement. If you choose to help, you can send gifts, which a number of people have indicated they want to do. In due course there will be a button on the website to facilitate this, but for the moment those who wish to help can send a gift to Manhattan Declaration, P.O. Box 1396, Ashburn, Virginia 20146.
It is nothing less than a miracle that we have been able, with virtually no budget, to accumulate in four or five months almost a half million signers. Some organizations that have been working to build their lists for 30 years haven't done much better than that. God will continue to do the miracles - and we will do our part as well. As the great missionary William Carey said, "Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God."
Thank God He is raising up hundreds of thousands of Christians to draw a line in the sand at this time of ominous challenge to the fundamental principles of justice and truths of our faith - principles and truths which are the very foundation of our nation and of every society that values human dignity and the common good.
God bless you.

GOD's Calling

I attended a sportsman's supper tonight at a local church. Of course they entertained us with some very nice displays, and a long time sportsman who has been saved spoke about hunting and becoming saved while he was a grown man.
They also fed us a wonderful supper and gave away a few door prizes. Two of my family members won a prize each. I however may have received the biggest prize of the evening.
The speaker for the evening talked about how he had video of two bucks fighting, and told us how he came about getting that video. Then, with man made calls duplicated the sounds of those two bucks fighting.
Without trying to describe the sounds, you can imagine the noises were intense and fierce as well. The speaker described the battle and duplicated the sounds to perfection. I can attest to this from all the hunting videos I have watched.
Now to the prize I received.
As he was talking about Jesus and his return being hailed at the sound of a trumpet, the speaker suggested that sound may be the sound of a bull elk. In case you did not know this, the bull elk makes a sound that can best be described as bugling. Bull elk do in fact bugle, not with a horn, but through their throat. If you have ever heard this sound it's amazing, and very loud.
Much like the burning bush we discussed in an earlier blog post, I have to wonder if the sounds of GOD's callings can be like the bull elk, and the whitetail deer.
The whitetail is in fact a shy, and quiet animal for most of it's life. Very few times do we get to hear a whitetail vocalize it's self and be able to describe the vocalization as anywhere near the term "loud".
Sometimes GOD has to be really vocal with us to get our attention. Another time it may just be a whisper, or a slow drizzling rain.
As soft as a cloud, and hard as a hammer.
Is GOD calling you today? Can the message get through? Will you listen to his calling?
Think about these things for a minute. Ask GOD if he has been calling to you, I would bet my life he has.
May GOD bless each of you.

“IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES”
If I knew this would be last time I would see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the lord your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time I would see you walk out that door I’d hug you and kiss you and then ask you for one more. If I knew it would be the last time I heard your voice lifted in praise, I would video tape each action and word so I could play it back each day.
If I knew it would be the last time I could spare a minute or two, I would stop and say I love you, instead of assuming that you knew. If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, instead of saying we’ll have many more, I’ll just let this one slip away for surely there’s tomorrow to make this up and we’ll always have a second chance to make everything right.
We always think there will always be another day to say, I love you and certainly there’s time to say is there anything I can do?
But in case I might be wrong and today is all I get, I’d like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget that tomorrow is not promised to no one young or old alike, and today might be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight. So don’t wait for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes you will surely regret that day that you didn’t take that extra time for a smile, a hug or kiss, And you were just too busy to grant what could have been their last wish.
So hold your loved one close today and whisper in their ear how much you love them and how you will always hold them dear, Take time to say, I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, or its, ok. For if tomorrow never comes, you’ll have no regrets today.

This was showed to me and I just thought I would share it with everyone. It was posted in remembrance of Andy Bryan. It is a beautiful and very true poem.

As the Easter season is upon us, we are reminded of the scriptures of the risen Christ. John 3:16 tells us that "GOD so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son", so that those among us who believe in the Christ can have eternal life.
Jesus told his disciples that he goes to prepare a place in his father's house for them to spend eternity. For his disciples will be the judges of the twelve tribes of Israel.
Is your future secure? Have you done all you can to make a place for Jesus in your heart? If not, there will be no place in Heaven for you, when you leave this life.
I pray that each of you that have not made a true decision to accept Jesus as your Saviour, and Lord, do so before it is too late. God loves each of us so much, that he sacrificed his own son, to become the final sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice.
Our sins are washed away. They are as if they never existed. Gone, are the worries and the guilt of past discretions.
Like the woman that was brought before the Lord. She was caught, in the act, of adultery. A crowd was with her accusers, all with  stones ready to condemn this woman.
Jesus was writing something in the dirt when they asked him what should they do. One pastor said Jesus was writing the sins of the accuser in the sand. When Jesus said let those among you without sin cast the first stone, the accuser saw his sins in the sand, Jesus stood up and took his foot and wiped them away, and after the crowd dispersed without casting a stone, he asked the woman "where are thine accusers?"  Jesus then told her to "go, and sin no more"
With the simple motion of his foot sliding across the sand, Jesus wiped the sins away of the accuser, and the woman.
With the selfless act of laying down his life for all humanity, he saved the world from sin!
Happy Easter, and GOD bless each of you.

This is such a beautiful song. I hope you all get a message from the wonderful mix of words in this masterpiece.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdP9G7AuOsc

We never walk alone. We never walk unprotected. We do sometimes turn our back on what God intends for us. If there is any thing you take away from Merideth's song, my hope is that you know God truly loves each and every one of us.

When Moses saw the burning bush, what inspired him to go on the mountain to get a closer look? Could it have been divine guidance, or merely Man's curios nature. How was it that he was the only person in all the world to see the bush?
How would you have reacted? Does God send us "burning bush" signals today? Have we become so insensitive to his wishes that we can't see them?
Theses questions and more beg to be answered.
I hope each of us has the ability to see the signals when God wants us to do something, or be somewhere.
We can witness firsthand the destruction of whole cities, in God's plan for the future of the world. If we read and believe Revelations, then we know the end is coming.
Are you ready? If not, why? All the signs are there. All the future has been told, and we have been informed since our youth, that this world is nothing more than a stopping place in our eternal lives. A proving ground if you will.
So, since the question has been asked, do you see the burning bush?

I pray to God that you all have.

Kid's Korner with BibleGirl

Jesus shed his blood for us to take away our sins.
The thorny crown on his head, that he wore to the cross, represents our sins.
Jesus loves us all, and will forgive you if you do something that you know is not right.
God sent Moses up the mountain, and Moses returned with the Ten Commandments.
One of these commandments is "Honor thy Father and Mother".
How many of you are honoring your parents today?

Cruising the net tonight and found this gem.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXSkd8apbWM&feature=related

I really like the message that Johnny Diaz sends with this song.
It is God's wish that you take care of the body he blessed you with. There could never be a more beautiful you says that no matter how hard you try, no matter how much makeup you try on, no matter how many holes you drill in your body to hang jewelry in, you can not improve on God's work
